The Foreclosure / Banking Section offers counsel to credit unions, commercial and savings banks, and financial institutions and engages in specialized representation in the areas of residential and commercial loan transactions, residential loan closings, mortgage foreclosure proceedings, workouts and loan recovery litigation.
Our Banking Litigation practice encompasses the representation of our financial institution clients in federal and state courts from the inception of a matter through appeal. We handle litigation matters involving residential and commercial foreclosures; breach of contract; business torts; collections; consumer financial services; director and officer liability; lender liability claims; and general bank regulatory issues. We also represent clients in actions involving statutory claims under, among many, The Fair Credit Reporting Act; the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act; the Truth-in-Lending Act; the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act; and the Uniform Commercial Code.
